Alpha edition

Hi all

I currently have an old alpha edition of the game, but would like to upgrade it. would I need to buy the game again or would I be able to get an upgrade to the newest edition of the game freely?

Game is still currently free, you can download a new version on our site here: StarMade

Demo version is the full version.

EDIT: Oh, and if you want to save your old game files, upgrading your version should work, however I'd suggest making backups before hand.

You can just update using the client (download the newest version first though). As you say you have bought it, you will be able to continue to do so until they stop updating it.
