Installed via your guide/readme and ran with ./shadow.dtsd, everything seemed to go well, ingame commands however don't seem to do anything.

Having the same issue... Issues that do seem to exist out of your list... - docking failing - some times AI ships seem to randomly warp around or sort of repeat their movement over and over again I'll get you a threaddump.. soon..?
