(LAG) - Lag reduction for Docked entity, suggestion

Warping it clear of entity boundaries prevents the issue of "What if it's a reactor docked in the center of the Death Star itself and won't make it out during the travel time?" Also, I prefer loss of function for decorative rail items like doors as an alternative to having them undock.

      Active color change on beacons

OK. Definitely a good idea. And yes, oh yes, colored beacons.

      Creating in game npc factions.

Just gonna note that I really and truly hope that this is obvious and will be implemented rapidly with NPC factions. Other than that, this is a good suggestion. Logical and (I'm sure) widely desired. Also, the ability to have NPCs in a player-made (As opposed to this suggestion, which seems to...

[Philoshopy] Why do we keep trying to build something pretty ?

Yes, but mostly the King Tiger (Tiger II). The earlier German vehicles suffered from various mechanical problems relating to the complicated drive systems they used and the ever-present General Mud (One of Russia's two best generals, in fact).

[Philoshopy] Why do we keep trying to build something pretty ?

Really the Tiger was not meant to be nice-looking, it was meant to be intimidating and powerful. That is successful engineering. It was powerful, and it scared the crap out of most allied tankers. Hahaha, the Maus. Scary vehicle.

How does one make a good looking ship?

Put some more framing in there. Figure out the top and bottom hull shapes. Why a retractable missile?

How does one make a good looking ship?

Missile-pulse-explosive actually makes for a more powerful alpha weapon (That combo is usually referred to as a nuke) than missile-beam-explosive. That said, depends on your intended function. How you intend to bust planets, really.

(LAG) - Lag reduction for Docked entity, suggestion

Maybe edit the OP to include the different suggestion? Improves the chance that a dev will notice it. But yeah, you could even just have the entity lose all velocity and go noclip for, say, a good safe 10 seconds (Unless the ship is parked, which is what the minor jump mechanic is meant to...

      Active color change on beacons

I'd just as soon leave the colored lights. They're easy to work with for somebody who (Maybe stubbornly, but to each their own) refuses to work with logic, or just doesn't understand or care about logic, if logic is how you mean to activate these lights. No need to force some sort of mechanic on...

      Senseful defaults

If only servers that have a missing config get the default config, then why can't you change the defaults? Changing them like this would mean that every new player ever would see the new more logical config, while everybody with their own config gets left alone. Or did something get lost in...

for the next competition please consider

Giving people extra time is a nice thought. That said, it's the appeasement mentality. For example: At a school, the cutoff for an A is 99%. Anything below that is an A-, until 90%, where it becomes a B+ (Harsh school). Let's say somebody gets a 98.99%. Do you round up and give them an A? Let's...

(LAG) - Lag reduction for Docked entity, suggestion

But if they're no-clip, you'd have to be in the middle of a maneuver to have them fly out. Otherwise, the lack of contact means that our near-Newtonian physics kick in, and the reactor just follows your vessel along, before clipping out. A better solution would be to have the entity jump to...

Recognized by Council Re-work EMP passive

Well, Lukwan, you've doomed yourself. Now you're going to face the science. Shielding would protect a ship from a Star Wars-style ion cannon, which overloads a ship's systems with energy, shorting out and otherwise damaging electrical components. Ion cannon blasts only temporarily disable...

That's not really a saying, but a theme through history.

Missile HP in the configs for the newest release!

Missile HP? Well then, PDTs just got a lot more interesting..... Maybe now the overdriven version of my quad-mount C-C flak turret will have a use!

      Nuclear Power structures

I'm just gonna note that it would be better if the reactor doesn't have to be rectangular. As in my post about a different way to do this, just make it so that the reactor must have a skin in the form of a three-dimensional hollow shape with no gaps.

[Philoshopy] Why do we keep trying to build something pretty ?

A note, Sgt. Victorious armies always fight the last war. The loser looks for another way to fight...and can often win because of it.

How do you manage your faction?

But, Nauvran, what if there's foot pedals for something? Oh wait, I know! Last punishment: Cranial drilling....while patient is conscious. Then insert neural interface/control device. They'll never argue again, and since they can fly ships with their minds, you can take off their arms too!

Requesting extra time for ship submission for thos who are almost finished

Serge, sorry to say, but the competition's over. Criss specifically stated that he'd be watching for new submissions for about an extra half hour, but that it was done after that, and that they'd accept no more ships after that point.
