Aha! Another sufferer of SBS! (StarMade Burnout Syndrome)
I've seen it before. There is no cure but it can be treated and I know how. It's directly related to the perceived purpose for playing StarMade.
Have you intentionally quit playing StarMade for more than two months?
If so, why did you leave and why did you return?
(If there was bad interaction with you and another player or faction please leave out names and details. Avoid starting flame wars!)
Many threads get infected with flame wars. It doesn't always negate interest in the topic, it's just annoying to those who want to hold a polite discussion.
The game is still being developed. It's not dead, it just needs someone to take the players in the right direction. The 2/3 of the players who only want to build awesome looking ships and then pilot them by themselves into fake scheduled battles can't keep interest in this game going for long...
I understand what you're saying. It does seem pointless to do that. And how many "cool" ships can you design before you burn out? I knew of players who had moved on 10 months ago because they became bored with the same old "mine, build huge ship, fight, repair" cycle. The answer is not in the...
Are there any forum categories or threads for those who prefer functional design and maximum performance/efficiency? (the 7.3%) If not, I think that would become an interesting group to watch/contribute to.
The shaft was one block wider than the elevator. The guide holes were one block wider than the guide rails. I was offline unavoidably for quite a while and aparently development of the faction ceased. We were growing quite well, too. The carrage was operated manually. This was before logic blocks.
The "single plane" of the old planets seems more terrestrial than those ugly polygons. That's my observation anyway. You might not see it that way. What does crafting have to do with the shape of the planets?
OSG Corporate Headquarters had a manually operated elevator that accessed 6 floors and a rooftop landing pad. It was quite usable. Basically, it was a small ship captive on two vertical rails running the length of the shaft. Passengers were required to use the gravity module or risk being...
I dislike the new planets for all the above agreeing statements. Disk style planets integrate better into StarMade physics and the grid system. Orienting myself with "C" was very convienent and useful. The full-time universal gravity gave the disks a planetary feel and insured that there would...
