      I agree, the idea of a cluster of blocks (rather than plate design) should give the greatest effect/damage. As mentioned the damage of any 1 block should be augmented by the number of other block located in it's immediate vicinity.

      I'm thinking the Bobby AI and a Damage Pulse is starting to look like the go to mine configuration. Once disintegrators are un-nerfed they might become a better option but they'll have to do a lot of damage (suggestion: make disintegrators ignore shields, that'll make them useful again).

      I'm expect disintegrators to be 'fixed' or removed but they have a 'classic' feel for a mine. I'm trying to make them as small as I can, about 50 blocks not including the trigger net, the test ships are Isanth sized.

      Run into the same problem with Station Sphere-201, it keeps to a glitched URL (external) and will not update. I wasn't even able to switch to an internal link though I could and did upload the .sment file Could you have a look and if needed I can do yet another update to refresh the download link.
