noup,skins ignore ship lights or any player made souces of light and anything else like walls blocking the stars,only stars can shine light on them,so even if you are in your ship,as you rotate your astronaut.. the shadows will move depending on where the star is

i do agree that there should be more updates,not big lists or downloadable updates. something like a small twitter post every 3-4 days,ex. just finished that/this ,lots of coffee spent,bla bla that would keep me even more happy. but for now,i know what is coming,i know they are working hard so...

are you sure you were placing power reactors..and not disintegrator explosives? :P this is the first time i hear about warpgates exploding

if you have a good pc,you can copy the whole ship,and paste it so that your core is in a better place

not to sound harsh,but damn.. 100 shield capacitors and rechargers is less than in some of my starter ships. pirate stations can kick your butt even with 1000+

i sneeze..and a ship appears on my screen! lol,but yeah.. when i start my original ships (that are over 100 m long) i start with building one shape,lets say.. a long slanted rectangle,and then i cut it..and cut it..until i get a very interesting shape :) here is one example you can see in this...
