I put my ship through some base combat trials, was not impressed. Weapons have a huge blind spot, gonna have to go off-cannon to patch that with CIWS and heavy Guns. Also redid the weapons, been working on major retextures because SlAbS

Holy Crap this looks awesome!! Look into refitting your turrets with slabs, it makes them lower profile and generally look better, plus you can make your whole ship less blocky that way. Also look into putting a thin layer of slab over the missile batteries so that the starmade missile texture...

I make copies and just build and if I don't like it I fill it with warheads and warp it to a different systems. Then I go back and start over. It's always a stress relief to watch it blow up.

I'm also on that awkward phase where I'm stuck on how to build some stuff, so too much of my time has been spent redesigning and rebuilding some stuff. I can't wait to see what you come out with!

I agree with all of this. I'd join the server, it makes it easier for me to ask questions of other builders (I need help, that's why my main build hasn't been updated in forever).
