AFAICT It's the exact same a regular fleet mining, except:
no "maneuvering" calculations (EG idiot drone bumped the asteroid, all other drones must re-set)
no "missing beams" (EG, drones fire their beams at target resource, then pan left-to-right with remaining beam time)
entire array hits...
is the turret factioned? are the pirates inside it's engagement range? do the "pirates" have atleast 1 weapon block? I seem to remember AI ignores ships that have zero threat.
your sector + every sector in a 3^3 cube surrounding it is loaded in. How long they stay loaded in after you change sectors is a value set in the server config. The more you know moment: This is why constant/instant-jump ships making their way in between galaxies can cause server lag. Load 9...
Oh you have the STO models? Sweet. I had thought of telling you there was a rather good model of a d'kora in STO as one of those box-ships. Buddy of mine used it's onboard market to control the dilithium stocks back in the day. Whichever model you find easier to port would be awesome. Thanks...
Just build a cheap blob with plenty of storage, an (empty) 4:1 thrust to mass(storage will lower that as it fills) and some BASIC shields. Spawn in various copies of it, make a fleet, and send it to unloaded sectors to mine. Unloaded mining is WAY more efficient than loaded mining.

Preferably up-scaled by 80% to support "starmadium" systems & still have the interior.

apparently, a REALLY good resource. The STMC: Download Star Trek Meshes & 3D Objects...
mmm, I see what you're going for, but can't you already do this just by building a "muzzle" as the armor? I mean, It's standard fair for me to build a "weapon looking thingy" as the frontal/side armor for any of my ships weapon systems...
Think of it this way: How long does it take you to turn your ship 180. That right there determines how likely you are to get/keep a target in your firing basket. (if the answer is "impossibru" you can use jump-drives to "hop" into a firing position with a good navigator. Keeping it is another...
Aha! So you're the guy I can blame for starmade black-screen-of-deathing on my Q6600 laptop. :D
Old-hardware incompatibility aside, I do praise the RNG-god. Can't wait to see how you handle city/civilization generation.
I'd split it into a core beam/beam/ion or shield-drain/beam that takes a little more than your after-thrust energy/sec, and a dozen mis/pulse/explosive block-killer nukes.
Ship in the millions of structure should have most of it's DPS in self-powered turrets IMHO. Big ships just can't maneuver...
personally, I'm waiting for ToasterBorst to make the tier 3 demo platform with his wacky wizardry.

Suppose-so. i would think the difference matters quite a bit if this "problem" was to actually be looked at though. I recomend you go hunt through XF's documentation and se if there is a ready-written module or option to "fix" this problem.
After all; it's easier to get a nail beaten-down if...
Doesn't record, or just doesn't display to non-mod/admin users? I've only admin'd VB and a custom SQL forum myself, so I can't say for sure about XenForo, but with VB there was the option for higher-ranked users to see histories and changes exactly as you describe.
lucky shot=slideshow lag though. dangerous the same way internal-docked-reactor used to be dangerous.
area triggers do this too last I checked. with nice tiny mass.:)
