A lot of the alleged toxicity (here and in the rest of the internet) is based on misconception/misperception. In real life feelings are communicated mostly through body language, not through words. What one says isn't as important as how one says it. This gets lost completely over the internet...
We should have just grey blocks and paint in the inventory. In build mode we would then pick a color and all newly placed blocks would have the selected color, as long as we have enough paint. With this and OP's suggestion we would have way cleaner inventories.
Huge turrets require more rail mass enhancers, which for me counts as a penalty. But I think the real problem with turrets is that neither the AI nor logic can activate defensive effects and that the defensive ion effect doesn't affect shared shields. Thus turrets are easy prey for weapons with...
I try to build ships that look good and have an interior but are still efficient. I plan on doing survival when there's more content and maybe PVP when the game is less bugged.
It should work like that, maybe you made a mistake, try the same again. If it still doesn't work upload your ship and post the link (start a new thread to avoid derailing this one too much).
Did you try to connect two wireless receivers to the same wireless emitter?
As long as the ticket in the bug tracker is open it's officially broken. The problem isn't that docked thrusters can't be abused to circumvent the diminishing returns anymore, the problem is that docked thrusters...
I just re-tested it (v0.19549) and my modular reactor with 2000 power supply blocks transfers about 2 mil energy in 2.5 seconds. Slaving 2000 cannon blocks doesn't change this, but reduces the cooldown, thus increasing the transferred energy per second, as it should do. I don't see anything...
It wouldn't even be possible. Just make a one block opening somewhere and suddenly the inside counts as outside. Then you only had to hope that no upstart jedi happens to pass by and fires a lucky missile through the hole.
This would require constant collisions checks to make sure no door is moved in front of the emitters right before battle, exactly what the game needs.
How do you want to prevent protection of the emitters by armor plates that aren't docked but can't move relative to the ship?
No, it wouldn't...
