I made a micro assembler and threw some crap in there but nothing is being converted. I am using lots of factory enhancers but I don't have the power needed to run all of them. I still have 50k power for them though so at least some of them should work right?
EDIT: Never mind it was indeed a...
My current strategy is to mine the ships/stations that I find for scrap, convert the scrap into AM's and CC's and then use that to mass produce whatever items can be made with just those 2 things and than sell them to the shops. I will then use the money to buy whatever I need. Yes I know more...
So I found a space station and harvested a portion of it and got scrap. What do I do with this scrap? Can I convert it somehow into something else? I dropped it into my capsule refinery thinking it would produce alloy but it did nothing.
Strong ships being rare with pirates sounds logical enough to me. I heard somewhere that powerful ships spawn more often the further away you are from your homebase. Is this true?
So I should be ok with giving them powerful ships? I sounds kinda boring to just not give them anything but lackluster ships. Can pirates take advantage of things like homing missiles and advanced weapons?
So I heard I could give pirates new blueprints to use, even my own ships! That sounds interesting to me since the basic pirate ships don't look very dangerous to me. But I have a few questions.
1. Are the basic fighter ships I have encountered so far the only default ships the pirates have...
While exploring the universe and fighting AI ships is fun, at the moment the single player experience still isn't that complex. What role with AI factions play in the future? Will there be AI factions that will own or even claim areas like the player can? Or perhaps there will just be static...
Depends completely on strategy and design. It doesn't make any sense to not see this is a balance issue. I mean what is even the point of making turrets have their own shields if you can just hide them like this anyway?
But won't a more powerful beam consume a single block faster than a weaker laser meaning it can still cut through a overall larger amounts of blocks in the same time period?
lol at the people calling this suggestion a "artificial limitation".
Look, I can agree that things should be abstracted to a certain degree. But when I say that I am thinking about things like ships not needing thrusters to be placed on the exact right spot so that your ship doesn't spin out of...
If I have a big ship and have just finished a big fight I assume my ship will be full of holes. Will I have to manually repair every single last damage caused to the ship? Or is there some kind of auto-repair feature?
From what I can tell if a block on your ship loses it's connection to the rest of the ship it just floats in thin air. Besides looking really really stupid it also doesn't make any sense gameplay or balance wise. If I am able to cut somebody's ship into two then this should cripple that ship. It...
That sounds very unfair and unbalanced. I just means the largest faction is the most powerful merely because it is larger. I think a better idea is instead to just make it so that every faction can't have more than a X number of ships of each size class.
Nice pictures guys!
Is there some kind of size or block limit to how big the ships you make can be? I know there are on some multiplayer serves, but is the same true in singleplayer?
According to this page http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Executor-class_Star_Dreadnought the super star destroyer from the Star wars movies was over 19km long!!!
I think there are plenty of 1km long ships in starmade already, but has anybody tried to actually create a real super star destroyer? Is...
