That is a really good ship for a first one. Consider covering up some of the exposed weapons with hull, though. They're quite vulnerable.

Yes, containing the players might be an issue. I think that there should be a config option to set the universe border. Could help reduce world size for normal servers as well, because players won't fly away as far.
