unity can handle whatever you want it to, because you can use less of its "convenience at the cost of performance" features and basically run it as a framework or IDE for c# if thats what you want. anyway.
i support this option as a server config setting. i believe it should start turned off, and servers should be able to choose to enable it or not. the current methods the game has to prevent all pvp also interfere with other interactions, pve, etc.
if you force a player to pay you tribute, and call you their master... that probably fits a lot of peoples definitions of "taking over." you dont have to wipe them out and make them quit.
that aside, id wager that even though many "galactic empires" goals may be to conquer a specific portion...
perhaps a definition of "taking over" is in order here, because the way youre using it and the way i understand it are not the same. i imagine you know this, though, and are just using it in this manner because its convenient for your agenda.
stop moving your goalposts. you cant fight my ships on your sp unless you get them from me somehow, which usually involves playing on a server i play on or asking me directly. whether you consider them special or not is up to you, but it doesnt change the fact that... you dont have them.
you cant assign a ship to your sp pirate roster if you dont have the ship because its my ship that i built and use on a server youve never touched... do you not understand that not all players build the same stuff?
btw, i totally agree with you, go ahead and set up logic missiles in my sector...
fortunately, no one is forced to read your book.
you seem to have a very specific agenda based on your posts, but ill reference you to your own observation that nearly all mp survival servers are pvp friendly. there must be a reason for this. youve been around a long time, if you choose not...

aside from that mess up there, this seems like a totally reasonable list of guidelines for a specific server.
the problem is, who are you to dictate peoples behavior? i may want to be quiet, or not look at peoples stuff, or heaven forbid shoot at them.. most servers i play on allow these...
i share this belief. but i think most players dont, as we still have the problem of people not wanting to fight, after years of this experience i feel safe saying its not enough to incentivize most. (i often offer no cost fights with free spawned ships and still get no bites, from players who...
im probably the last person here who would have a personal problem with this. but theres some problems here... your logic makes no sense to me. you just used a realistic idea of how war and conflict works... to advocate a totally forced artificial loss prevention mechanic.
"Instead of blowing...
been playing since 14, played on your server several times with 40+ people. my personal distate for it was just ecause of the configs and lag, nothing else. i agree with you about playerbase and lack of fun, etc. be nice if something positive happens here.
ive played on a few servers i didnt like just because i had friends there or it was the only populated one up at the time, because this games community is tiny and volatile.
but i agree, im not bashing your server because i got high ping on it. im aware of how bad this game is from a server...
there isnt a reliable metric to determine how "good" a sm server is atm... but you cant possibly rationally think a paid vote ticker is reliable...
id say the opinions of the majority of the commuity whove tried the server. i personally didnt like your server because of constant high ping, but...
not an argument, but being # 1 on starmade servers or on the population list doesnt mean youre good, it just means you offer vote rewards to pay off #1, and new people who dont know better join based on playercount and establish an emotional investment in a particular server.
its really not a...
all good potential ideas. theres another problem, though. being a SUPERRREARLYYYY alpha (years later) it doesnt have a balanced economy. anyone can get anything they want in a matter of minutes to hours with a bit of gameplay experience and efficient play.
this isnt even considering the...
