      Just a simple string of text displayed under the ship's name. Saves in blueprints, but can only be changed via the faction module (i.e, there wouldn't be a spot to enter the ship's class when you buy the ship.).

      Whoops. No, I mean reducing range without reducing accuracy - you could then, for example, use beam/cannon/this and have a short-range lightsaber mounted on your fighter. The shotgun effect also doesn't increase damage output IIRC, just splits it into separate blasts

      New support effect idea: Heavily reduces your weapon's range in exchange for increasing it's damage about half as much (thus, 90% reduction in range gives you a 45% increase in damage output). Unsure what it's defensive effect would be. Thoughts?

      Seems like a good secondary use for the Scanner. Maybe have the results stored on the map for all players, and give a reward for revealing it - gives a nice reason to explore. Or store the results on a local map, and you can sell your map updates to other players.

      It'd be neat if resources (i.e ores) were a lot rarer in some systems/galaxies than others - could have one area of a galaxy rich in Parstun while the other's got a lot of Hital, etc. Would help trade - you need large amounts of one resource, you'll have to either take a trip to get it or pay...

      Ship sizes: Post them. Size of any ship, ships you use to run around servers in, shuttles, fighters, dropships, corvettes, frigates, ships you just found floating around, anything. I need this for... reasons.

      That would actually be pretty useful for this; we could have players grab the sizes of random ships from the servers they play on, so we see what sizes they trend toward

      The idea is a list - made right here on the forum - of generally agreed-upon sizes for docking modules; so you can more easily add compatibility for other people's ships if you so desire - completely optional.
