A role-based self-designated classification system is basically the best to hope for. Everybody calls ships of different sizes different things. Really, make it and call it what you want.
They could explode, but I don't know how often they do in real life. In real life, most missiles intercept their targets at high velocity and detonate into a cloud of shrapnel as well (Patriot missiles ram and detonate with shrapnel cloud)....which would not always detonate the missile, instead...
Anti-missile missiles are basically what modern AMS like the Aegis system are all about. So yes, we need some AMS missiles. And it needs to be a setting for swarmers that launches many small missiles that will only attack missiles.
Do not add it to inhibitors. Inhibitors are a fight-prolonging measure, interdiction is area-denial.
Bonus points if interdiction fields can be logic-toggled and scanners can be used to detect incoming ships at a certain range, then activate the interdictor field (Trapping the ship within...
How many times are you going to bring up the image of yourself hurtling off into space at translight speeds? I swear I've seen this a dozen times already, in different places.
Speaking of which, how are you here to bother us with this?!??!?!? You should still be hurtling off into deep space!
Still, one-man-faction play should always be possible, and the appeals used mostly to eliminate the appeal of having a faction merely to have an invulnerable homebase...to prevent griefing/stealing by other faction members.
The idea of a one-man-faction, right now, is based on trust. You can't...
WD-40????? You idiot, your problem was slipping out of the airlock in the first place!
This was clearly a problem where things needed to not move, therefore the correct remedy was duct tape!
Always remember: There are only two kinds of problems in the world; those that require things to move...
You'd already be setting an arrival location, Cornedo. You just have to set it out of detection/maximum weapons range so that your ships can arrive over time. Or, provide suitable carriers for short-range vessels.
Interesting idea. I'm not sure of how nice it'd be in-game....I like complete deformability. Plus, how does this scale with the use of torch beams? Do you have to burn through the entire plate to get through a door? What if you're using a sniper beam meant to shoot one block at a time (I'm...
C/C is for general AMS work, C/M should only be used (In my opinion) for close-in emergency PD. As in, not relied on, but kept around to give a better chance of taking out missiles that have gotten really close to your ship.
Nonono, it's !!+Fun+!!! It's only bad if it's degraded (XxitemxX) and/or not on fire. Everyone can love some fun, so long as it is appropriately soaked in blood, magma, and tears, and properly covered in corpses and ruined !!XxTroll fur socksxX!!.
It's the inactive one-player factions who litter the galaxy with homebases. I can understand, but, like you Dr. Whammy, wish that servers would at least allow 2 player factions instead of 3.
I really wish other weapons could hit missiles as well.
The problem with changing this, of course, is that beams are basically unavoidable, and can be almost perfectly accurate...provided your AI is set right. It'd make missiles obsolete. Add that to a couple of DP turrets set near the ship...
If you want to see a limit....then join a server with a limit. The whole point of a config option is to allow everybody to have their own settings, without limits.
10 new trees, 40 different colors of water, 5 made-up languages, and 71 new shades of pink and purple. All of which cost money to use in-game. (Not that anybody's ever going to buy even 1 new shade of pink or purple)
