I just tried the same thing, and the game now works better than ever. I get a little chop when I fire a bunch of weapons or ram something, but on average I'm getting about 40fPS which is more than I've ever seen on my laptop lol

I think I missed a "the" in there somewhere. Personally, I'm good with sun damage being the way it is. I'd love to see some total bastard weaponize this using a dedicated array of 100% push/pull effect weapons...

I know it's petty. But saying your ships are getting "decimated" means that you're still up 90%. Decimated means "to destroy one tenth of" It's being used interchangeably with "devastated" and "obliterated." As a species, we need to stop this. Together we can bring an end to misused words...

I've turned them down to the minimum. It keeps the game from crashing on me, but it's choppy, and i still get the low memory message after about 5 minutes or so. I really hope it's something obvious that I've simply overlooked due to sleep deprivation lol

I'm in the same boat. I wound up re-installing a new version of 64bit Java and then a fresh install of the game. It works now, but just not as well as before. I hope it gets smoothed out next update, cuz I can't afford a new computer :(

My FPS drops to zero, and the game becomes unresponsive. I've set my memory into the 4,000's but I get a low memory message regardless, and I've set all of my graphics options as low as I can get them. Halp! It just freezes and sits there. Taunting me. :(
