      Yes of course larger weapons would require more ammo or ammo units per shot. For example you have one gun that uses one ammo unit per shot, but it is very week. Then you have a gun that uses say one hundred ammo units per shot, that is more along the lines of a anti capital gun.

      Docking is not the issue, turret traversing, elavation, and depression speeds is. You can dock a 1 million mass ship, but this then makes it impossible to have turrets capible of threatening a capital ship. The best you can do are some anti-missile turrets and maby a few anti-fighter turrets.

      Not many are going to back you on this. Beleve me I have tried suggesting fuel, and new reactors befor. I personally think fuel and new reactors should be implemented, but it should be optional. Server admins should also be able to decide wethere or not these new fuels and reactors are available.

      Constitution class Heavy Frigate

      So with the last update the main gun has jumped from doing 26700 damage a group to doing about 53400 damage a group. This means that the main gun is just shy of 500,000 combined damage. Also ship hp is in the 6 million range, and armor hp is in the 7 million range.

      Extending Ship Shields to Turrets- A Solution

      The reason no one puts the turrets inside their ship is because its a big pain in the ass, unless you turn off the docking restrictions. And then if something happens and your turret comes loos, that is a very bad day. I know I have experiment with it.
