I think all those others are completely unnecessary if there's a mass limit. A newbie shouldn't get punished for docking to a shop and logging out for a few days only to log in and discover that all their money is gone, their ship's been undocked and destroyed because it was broadcasted, and now...

Most servers are not inverted FP servers. Newbies need a safe place to dock up. This is fine.

I'm pretty sure that was just a bug fix for the lag caused by large weapon arrays and NOT a fix for beams being absolutely useless against armor (which may be intended, devs have given conflicting statements). I'm not sure what bug with cannons you might be referring to.

Homebases still seem to cause a lot of lag when people dock and undock, but I'm glad that servers and clients won't die anymore when a bad pilot crashes into someone. Do you think it'd be possible to fix homebase docking lag at some point, schema ?

On cannons and beams, that is. Explosive can go all the way up to 100% on missiles and pulses.

I don't really see a reason for something like this when you could just make a weapon with multiple outputs. It's not like the end result is any different.

I think the idea is more to have a beam (probably like a thicker logic pipe) connect the two ships that "breaks" if it takes too much damage rather than a cable with rope physics.
