You do realize that all the code for spawning on ships was added when staying aligned to ships was added, and the only thing keeping spawning on ships from being in the vanilla game right now is balance issues, right?
If you have an alpha weapon, you can fire off your first volley and quickly refill your tanks from the auxiliary's tanks.
I've heard they are, but I haven't tested it.
This actually works perfectly fine if you use a custom config to allow Undeathinators on ships. It's probably awaiting some sort of balance to be figured out, since it's probably going to be introduced with the rest of the capital ship systems.
I convince a friend of mine to form another faction on the server and declare war on us. All his ships are incredibly cheap bricks of rock. My faction levels up all their ships to the max and gain a 2% efficiency buff in everything without risking a single ship. Horray!
Alternatively, I just...
Chaindrives allow you to take a dive into a star and survive, actually, since you jump again before the heat damage kicks in. Even if you do take damage, you're probably still going to be able to get out, since the chain drive is so small.
No JDI immunity or resistance please, dealing with some people's cowardtier drives is more obnoxious than anything else in this game. Please don't make it even worse.
Weight is only important on small ships. Small ships also need the least amount of auxiliaries. Heavy reactors means almost nothing for large ships except specialized high speed ships.
This is only a problem if you care about weight.
Shield caps are not going to do much of anything at reducing the effectiveness of reactor explosions. You need an armored block to do it properly.
Schine absolutely needed to edit this part of the game. What features are coming up next? NPC faction reworks and, at some point, unloaded fleet combat along with it. You can't have unloaded fleet combat with docked generators. How the hell are you supposed to incorporate docked generators into...
Boohoo. It's an alpha game. Bad alpha features die eventually. Get over it. Go yell at Bobby to turn them back on on GenX if you care that much.
This is a DRASTIC oversimplification of the complexities of internal reactor armoring, and you're embarrassing yourself by saying this.
