Ive given up on building with reactors for the time being (unless its been fixed of course).
As soon as I dock a reactor its power/sec drops by OVER HALF...... (tested) regardless of what its docked too.
Incorrect power draw-age also was a problem.

However I do not want to have to constantly deal with buggy crew member getting themselves stuck or jumping overboard.
As long as they are reasonably bug free and do not make flying a large ship a pain Im all for it (but want to see the system tested and perfected first).
I havnt done much testing yet, but I just have a couple of thoughts for you guys and the devs.

There are some good ideas in this post, however I can see this being very confusing for new players and annoying for others.

The spawning-from-blueprints has always nagged me and Its not something that would be ideal when starmade is in a more polished state.
Shipyards should obviously be the most effcient way to build/repair but astro beams should be more than capable of building/repairing entities...

Why not simply have the server download copies of the involved ships to a separate offline server with a max download/upload speed to prevent performance hits.
The actual ships are then removed and anyone entering the sector will see a pop-up saying 'Battle-in progress' or what not.

What about disabling clipping on an object for (x) seconds after being undocked:? Might be a bit weird to see reactors floating through your ship but its better than nothing.
Starside server did this a bit ago.
They gave us time to save all our stuff as blueprints, then allowed us to shove as much stuff as we wanted into cargo containers (then greatly increased server cargo storage capacity) then moved the container over to the new universe.
