You should play MW4 mercs campaign on veteran difficulty, the vehicle hp is still nerfed through the floor but damn do you have to be careful with myrmidon ppcs at range and demolishers have brutal alphas.
It makes perfect sense, the slave blocks contribute to total block count and therefore damage/power consumption. By removing the slave you effectively remove half the weapon.
Its funny because this exact idea used to be used for entirely different reasons, back when we had a lower credit limit and BP were purchased directly with credits there was a resulting maximum size of ship you could build before it couldn't be spawned because it cost more than the credit limit...
Rather than just increasing the max number the shop can count to it should actually be able to draw from linked plex storages in order to refill its stock. That way we can have factories automatically placing items into shop storage without the player having to move them across.
I think it would be better to just straight up nerf the firing arc, that way you get the desired nerf for big ships while not affecting little ships so much because they have the high turning rate to offset it. While were at it can we increase the firing arc for fixed docked guns a little? the...
Tanks are designed to survive hits from other tanks, battleships are sunk by crazed men in speed boats full of dynamite; in Starmade a simple miner can easily survive both unless the ship doing the shooting or the kamikaze'ing is already larger than it.
The main point still stands, currently outside of missiles there is no way to build an effective main battle cannon that can one shot other vessels of equal size.
