For multi-barrel turrets my common method is to have one base, one primary barrel, than dock the secondary barrels to the primary unless I'm doing something crazy.
Currently either all the barrels have to be the same entity or docked in such a way they don't fight over who controls the base of the turret. It'd be nice if the devs got around to fixing that issue so the different AI would cooperate. XD
Why not do the check once each time the salvager beams pass into the bounding box? Saves on resources, and you don't have to check each block just the overall entity.
hmm why not just add an additional selection to the faction module stating if something can be salvaged or not while it is there? Would solve a ton of problems and there'd be no need for an extra block. :)
Docked weapons do work last I checked since I'm using them for a multidirection targeting drone but setting them to Selected Target only works if you are in the ship. It'd be nice if it worked without a player needing to be in the core. Like say if the AI that is set to selected target is in...
lol as the homebase listed on the faction menu is nothing but a faction block in the middle of nowhere. XD That said finding a player base parked in the middle of nowhere isn't hard if you know how to search for people that don't want to be found.
For the beta launcher it is a tab to change to start up a server. As for it not showing up on the multiplayer list that's likely because it is private and you need the IP of it. Also the other reason is it could have something missing in the config to tell it to show up.
Unless you recorded the number of active players through the server list that'd be the only way to check how many totally players were online but that only gets multiplayer server users.
Also this topic needs to die already.
It'd be nice if we could turn on and off the feature of keeping worlds loaded when going back to the main menu to load a different one. Nice little thing for those of us with junkyard computers. XD
AP Turrets and AP Traps inside but finding the faction block in most cases for my builds is a tad easy, just find the middle and try not to die getting to it. XD
Meantime as for chain drives the only issue I have with them is the fact that they have to exist at all. That said they are a nice...
Most times I run to bait some poor PVPer into a death trap. Not chickening out of a fight, just seeing who wins the Darwin Award. :P Ironically enough when I get building I spam defense stations in all sectors I'm not using for something important. So after a while the whole territory of mine...
As we're all chomping at the bit waiting for new things to break more than normal. :) Only game devs I can think of that can keep gamers like us busy while they cook up ways to murder us in game. :P
