You know, at the beggining of this thread i was only asking if adding a few more decorative blocks to the vanilla game would be possible... Somehow it got very complicated guys.

dark_J something wrong with your computer cuz i have an old thing with onboard graphic card and 3GB ram and i can walk around-slowly- in a 500m long ship. WinXP, java32... Or maybe you spawn your big ships accross 2 sectors and that create problems ?

Couldn't you kind of get your program to make a gif of the ship then show it as your previw again with your program ? Would it work ? Would it be lighter ? Because if you get your program to render "directly" the ship, no wonder it take a long time to do. PS : Si tu préfère que je te pose la...

Mods are great, sure, but i feel its a bit earlier for that. More for me so... I'd like the thing to be available to everybody and especially i'd like everybody to be able to see beautifull creations without having to load a mod. I'll check your site nonetheless ;)

The good part on my idea, i think, is that decorative panel, coloured blocks are non active blocks. So for Shema to implement them is only-i believe- a matter that will not influence the physics of the game in any way.
