you could have blocks like farm blocks that produce a food meta-item and ether need to be harvested manually (player or NPC) or place it in a storage where NPCs can access it. each NPC would need say 3 food/day or something like that

just want to sagest giving remove replace filter the option of setting the filter to all hull shape of a certain strength and colour. this would make changing a ships hull colour quicker and easier.
one possibility (forgive me if it has bean suggested) is having a different computer for shipyards on ships. this computer would have reduced efficiency, a limit on the number of blocks that could be connected and an increased power reqiament. a similar system could be used for factories on ships.
ok but the first part about not being like jump drive is correct, right? and warp 10 could go literally anywhere instantly (i agree this is like jump drive) but how is that not as fast as hyperspace?
just an idea, make it so if you place a rail docker correctly orientated on a rail it will act as if it is a docked ship and move on the rail but will be able to have logic and storages connected and can be edited in the mother ships build mode. this would allow for more versatilely for small...
make build mode so that some one in build mode can only be within his ships box dim or just out side of the box dim. this stops people using it to spy or plan for boarding.
