      Earth Authority [Flotilla 27]

Thanks. Though I'd only describe the Achosyx as having NASA inspirations, what with it's Saturn V-style black and white patterns. The rest are still intended to be fairly hard sci-fi though. Like with having radiators, centrifugal gravity, RCS control, that sort of thing.

It's not that I ever really left, just that I tend to rotate through a number of projects and Starmade is only one of them. When I burn out I move on to the next project and return to it later.

= TRANSMISSION START = Vulcan here. There is a long and, I'm certain, fascinating explanation for why there has been no updates from Flotilla 27 for over a year. But I'm not here to explain that. Instead, I'm here to show you what we've got: the CargoStar heavy lift SSTO and the most recent...

      Rails Elevator with Binary Panel

I will definitely be using this (assuming I can understand your instructions) for my ship, which has 19 floors accessible only by lift, and many of the others only accessible to each other via the lift.

CT Shipworks [Update #7- Hangar, First Pass]

Unfortunately for me, a sliding helm chair would not fit the theme I'm going for in my vessels. Looking at your cargo vessel, Iceman, I can't help but think that if you put radiators and a spherical habitat section on the front, it'd look something like this:

CT Shipworks [Update #7- Hangar, First Pass]

I love how those swarm missile launchers have the missiles suddenly change direction. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Roboteching) I may add hidden turrets to the Achosyx, having seen all the great things you've done here.

Using the Bridge to control the ship?

I know you can use logic for "cruise control", where you set a course and the ship follows it at a set speed until you turn it off. I've never seen anything to suggest you can change course without entering the Core - we don't have reaction thrusters, after all.

I didn't mean to imply I was providing original ideas. I just said I liked those ideas.

I like the idea of a Space Anchor. A spacecraft that can only use Station parts when its Space Anchor is dropped would be good. No Warp Gates though, for previously mentioned reasons. Just factories and shipyards and undeathinators. For invincibility, just build a very basic homebase station...

      Tank VS Mech

Babylon 5 did exactly that. Star Furies were often seen to rotate around to hit targets, or otherwise fly like a real space fighter would. Battlestar Galactica Reimagined did it too - I'm pretty sure it was Starbuck's favourite maneuver. Back on topic, though, tanks, tanks, tanks. Mechs are not...

= TRANSMISSION START = [AI connection found!] Wing Commander Vulcan here. Having completed my major tasks for today, and my ongoing projects stalled, I've agreed to once again do one of these weird little presentations. I literally have nothing better to do, which is just sad. This image was...

      Spaced Armor; Key to Vctory

The idea of spaced armour in real life is that the space between the two armour plates will absorb the shock and keep the inner armour intact. The space equivalent is known as a Whipple Shield. The way I see it, the outer armour should still get damaged, while the inner layer is protected.

      Earth Authority [Flotilla 27]

We've begun work on the Command Section, since we weren't entirely sure how long the centrifuge needed to be without a solid wall to measure with. Our scans were a bit rough on the forward and backward views, so we're building guidelines (in blue) that we will use to make a neater hull with...

Hullo! It's the Vulcan's Communications Officer here. For some strange reason, Vulcan is refusing to even talk to us about continuing to do these little updates at the moment. Something about devoting her time to more important things like 'fleet defensive and intelligence gathering roles'...
