All you need is an activator or button ether touching the rail, or connected with c+v (from rail to activator) and whenever a docked entity touches that rail, it will send a signal. EDIT actually, it may need to actually touch the rail. Someone correct me if I'm wrong! Don't want to spread...

I hear Ya. I don't like taking them in build mode cuz then area triggers and non physical rails are jarringly visible lol. I change my focus point in flight mode by taking pics from other cameras, since the camera is what the....camera centers on

I have never used build mode zoomed out lol. It never even occurred to me to do it. I do zoom out when using the free can in fly mode though, for pictures (like I'm sure everyone does)

In the meantime any ship I build will have "gravity fed drop tubes" when it grows in excess of 200m or more than 6 decks!

Are you using the default build mode settings? I always change mine so I can place block I'm 100m lines. I'm assuming you're in creative right? Just lay down a big 50x50x50 block of power and thrust, move it, then hit undo twice!

Though short term it would be nice to move the core, once a different type of pilot/command interface is introduced you won't really need to move it.

To set the degree rotation you can have them touch as JinM indicated, or you can link them by hitting the rotator with "C", then linking it to an activation module with "V". Each activation module adds 45°, so you will need 2, and both activation modules will need to ON/TRUE/BLUE.

I run my own build server right now. Once the game goes into beta, I'll start over and turn it into a survival/ RP server. I want to build my ships a certain way, with a certain look. And while I try to optimize my designs, I won't sacrifice their RP functionality to do so. I think it's because...
