Attempted to work out the whole trading thing (I've been away for a few months.) A little disappointed to see that trade guild stations don't seem to be in the network. Began testing feasibility of focusing purely on trading without any salvaging. Will probably get bored pretty quick.
I haven't had a chance to see this in game yet, but it seems like pretty well all of these things are totally doable by setting buy/sell prices at your own shop modules. If you want to avoid the trading guild tax, set your buy price a little higher than the norm, then an enterprising player can...
Must...not...insist... That this is... a logical extension... Of suggestion A.
Woo, I'm good now. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to articulate this issue.
So.... what's the suggestion then?
Tell you what, I'll fill that part in. Either
A) make fertikeen ore MUCH more plentiful in the galaxy,
B) make hardener much cheaper to craft(like one ore=100 standard armor worth of hardener. That might sound like a lot, but judging by how much other crap...
For some reason when the update to starting items came up in december, it didn't change my items. I realize this was 8 months ago, but I just started a new game and am trying to figure out how to make the switch manually. I've found info on how to do it for a server, just not in single player.
I enjoy it also. But I feel like Zektor is being ganged up on a bit, so I'm jumping in.
I'll grant that optimization is not a difficult achievement, assuming you know what you are optimizing for. But I would argue that there's more to an effective ship than pure numerical optimization. There...
Every Noob should know you need space to park your ships at your station. Also, include an undeathinator, and I'd get a shop module in there so you can buy blueprints on site. And a faction module, with appropriate permission blocks as they seem... Appropriate.
Make sure there's plenty of...
So I'd like to see the template menu show what blocks are required for the template in question, and if possible a picture of the templated object. This, along with the ability to download templates directly and add them to your template library, could help in a few ways. The first would be as...
Alright, this seems like a much stronger argument, and I'll even go so far as to say it's convincing. I'll be interested to see how this trend evolves as the game gets more features and(presumably) attracts different sorts of players. I suspect that there will be an influx of low detail...
Depends on the builder, and on what you mean by beautiful
There is beauty in power, etc. Let's say that a ship has to please it's builder to be worth it.
I'm not going to let this stand without comment. Even putting aside concept builds for a moment, this is patently absurd. Your argument is...
And thus, the 10000 block skeleton key was born...
But seriously, the only issue I have with this is that it would require a new ui element that doesn't really match any current parts of the game. I don't know that the added complexity is worth the payoff. If other, similar systems were in the...
Classic logical leap here. At most, your evidence only supports the conclusion that Skylord can't build something both beautiful and battle worthy, which... I don't know, he may agree with you on that.
Most of the decorative elements I've seen in builds have fairly minimal effect on ship...
I like to think that improved turret/weapon AI will swing this pendulum back towards the center. Shoot, proper behavior for non forward facing weapons could go a long way..
As for visual v functional, I enjoy the challenge of building efficient ships at least as much as making them pretty...
