The Hoplite Heavy Interceptor (known as the HopLIGHT for competiton purposes).
I think I deserve an engineering master award for this since I managed to take it from 1260 mass allll the way down to 300.1 (0.1 over cause I'm a rebel). It looks uglier than its true form but should still put up a...
I've been working on a new heavy fighter that I might be able to finish and release soon, although it'll need some mass reduction. May also update my Viper and enter that if I have time.
Some people like it, others absolutely hate it (myself included). It should be made to be optional in the server config file so that people who want it can have it, and people who don't aren't forced to have it. Win win situation.
Its already been done, though I'm not sure if its 1:1 - http://starmadedock.net/content/unsc-dd-366-destroyer.1335/updates
Who knows maybe I'll get bored sometime and make my own version with the new wedges :D
Yeah they're normally grey, I just wanted to make it black :D. There's several different angles all over the ship. We'll see how it looks with the new wedges, however it would mean me having to pretty much restart if I went with them.
I took a lot of inspiration from Warhammer ships when I...
Warheads are extremely weak at the moment. One warhead block will barely scratch the paint off advanced armour, and in small groups such as your 4x4x4 you'll likely only make small holes in ships, which will be more of a pain to repair than anything. In large amounts they could be useful...
Yeah true, I just thought it would be pretty sick to raise a massive missile out of the nuke bay and launch it off at people. My friend did some testing yesterday with warheads and it turns out they're pretty weak so we won't be going with it regardless.
Finished one of the nuke bays:
Now the question is: Do I just make them lock-on missiles, or should I make a giant warhead rocket that shoots out and rams the enemy?
