Well, if you're going completely canon, I can say that you should use long range beams and missiles for the weapons systems. You don't see bullets in star trek.
And try this power generator concept, its based off of the ones in Star Trek, and animated with a logic system.
Well, in large servers, I can't help but notice that asteroids are quite thin near spawn. Combine that with necessitated mining, and the area will be cleared out quickly, and it won't refresh because there are usually people in the vicinity.
This is great, except for one thing, STARMADE DOES NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL CLASS SYSTEM YET.
So it's overkill to have a class. Perhaps a displayed value of distance, sector, thrust, and state (docked, docked turret, ai, ect)...
Well, just thinking, but perhaps we can use this kind of graph (below) for the chart. I can't understand the chart that we have right now as well as these...
And just adding on to what has already been said...
Servers would be a nightmare:
Increased asteroid destruction
As more and more resources are mined out, new players have no way to get out to them in the first place
This would promote core mining, or crystal mining, as taking out a crystal...
Try this:
Here, the first delay is connected to the second and gate, only allowing a signal to exit once every loop for one delay, and pausing for the other 2. I used this system, except with more delays, for the ring loop above.
Honestly, I think that the logic systems are still buggy...
Another design concept, this one's based off of the power core reactors in Romulen ships in Star Trek.
