      Transporters totally need to kill astronauts if it's shut off mid-transport... A good reason for enemies to sneak in and sabotage transporter systems!

      I wouldn't have thought of this, nice heads-up! You could hide turrets in the center of an asteroid with tiny holes to shoot out of, having the tips of the cannons covered in rock that blends in.

      I believe there is a new sound engine in the works, dunno if it's a plan or being developed atm. For now just pretend there is no air anywhere! :p

      It would be cool to have a airlock that locks a player in and they have to type in a password or a green pulse kills them. Something for staff areas and such, in which you want only some faction ranks through.

      that airlock is super creative, nice work! You should have the turrets hidden until the doors lock shut, then enemies get even more surprised, otherwise the turrets might shoot before anyone even enters. Super inspirational!

      Yea, it doesn't make much sense to hurt someone with a beam that is passive when as a huge cannon, a handheld mining drill would be pretty sweet!

      Getting up close to use melee weapons would prove very difficult at the moment, the player cannot run, leap forwards, or ever hide his/her name/indicator from appearing to the enemy. More mobility in general would have to be added before melee combat would have many upsides.

      I didn't know about all those statistics, thanks for the info Sven_The_Slayer ! Didn't know that there was a native effect on cannons either... Dangit, I could have used this knowledge just the other day.

      Maybe the mini salvage beam (that I totally forgot the name of) that appears when you right-click (by default) to mine blocks could work as a lightsaber?

      Plasma Blades - Melee Weapons for ships

      This wouldn't be much of an addition to the game tbh, you can already have a beam shoot from one turret and land on another on the same ship to create something like Robocraft's Electro-Blade things. Adding a weapon that works somewhat like that would just be a waste of IDs in this case.

      Wait, was the space whale a creation of the procedural fauna generation system, or its own model, like the quad? Looks very cool though, very excited to see what comes in the future! :) Edit: Oops, just read more of the thread, sorry 'bout that. :confused:

It would be interesting to see some other ways to get minerals that aren't only mining, such as farming creatures that grow them or something, being a tougher option but more reliable than asteroids.       Man, I am totally going to use that universal dock, especially in the future when there might be air you don't want lost into space when walking between ships. :) Good for boarding parties boarding neutral ships too. xP

      Totally going to make an entry for this, expect to see something in a few days unless I become extremely busy for some reason. :) I already have ideas for reloading I tested about a month ago... :cool: Uhoh, my Steam version of Star-Made seems to have an issue were disintegrators don't explode...

      I don't think this is fair at all. In the real world you can also load multiple guns and grab the next when empty if you don't have time to reload. I do agree on your second and third ideas though! A personal forcefield would help counter multiple snipers. And a personal radar jammer would fit...

      It would be funny if an enemy torch beamed into here and ended up getting fried by the reactor. :D You should have a button that activates a thermal meltdown, blowing up the core first, sending red missiles down the hallways, and then blowing up the ship in chunks!
