Yeesshh, that will give us the option to make much more complex factory chains! Edit: Maybe it could be a microblock that you could put on a special slot while accessing the factory block (etc.) and it would stick out from the point that the "pipe" started. PS: Modular Upgrades :D

So i was working on something and i wanted to bind my docking points (my fighters are docked there) to my hotbar. I press T, first i try drag and place it on the hotbar, then i press on it and press 1 to assign it. Both of them do not work. I do not know if this is a bug or i'm doing it wrong...

Well, at least they will be custom so they won't fuck up your ship's exterior like in SE.

He said that you will dock the engines, so destroying the connection point would undock the engines and stop the ship from moving.

This however, would help in cases that you wanted to disable a Capital Ship or any other cruiser+ ships, board it and capture it's crew and the ship itself.
