I'm sure this has happened to everyone once.
You make a ship to replace an old one, set up an obviously rigged test to see how well it can do, and then have your new ships get their collective asses handed to them by your "outdated" design that was outnumbered by your new ships.

Yeah, I still remember when my big ship decided to aim at a pirate station 4 sectors away, out of range, and lay in wait for it.
While being dismantled by a ship literally 100 meters away blasting at the hull.

I have two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch, but usually just get the lunch and sometimes 1 of the breaks. Monday I had 2 breaks, that was nice. :)

I remember when we set a fleet of 12 little ships at an enemy homebase and they undocked a titan to fight them... then almost lost the titan before we felt bad and redirected the small fleet into the sun.
(Also a funny observation, my small ship keeps utterly destroying every replacement I have...

How old were these ships! Unless they were our 2k mass fighters (we have like 3-4 designs for those), all our ships needed docked generators to be able to fire the weapons.
But the game struggles when people use explosive cannon cannon waffles, this will still create issues.
We need a different mechanic like on how beams work.
Maybe when they hitscan an object, they count out how many blocks they drew a line through and divide the beams damage equally amoung...
