We should be able to use rails to move turrets from standard rails to a turret dock, and be able to turn a turret dock into a standard rail to move a turret off of a turret dock (aka turning it off). It would be nifty.

Well, only if you are using cloaked torpedoes can you hope to survive turret fire to get close enough. Or armored torpedoes with blast doors that open with an area trigger just before impact

And the brits went and put a 57mm and later a 96mm into a plane, crazy stuff! (I like the fact that the carrier variant of the same plane has four 20mm cannons, eight 60lb rockets, four 500lb bombs, and then a torpedo. I guess you could start your run as a divebomber with rocket and 20mm cannon...

12 good drones can kill a 100k+ mass ship, 100 would be too laggy to be fun to fight, you have to find a happy middle ground where you can kill them without crashing them.
