      Should Chain Drives Remain?

      Seems to me that chain drives show an obvious flaw in the game's FTL mechanics. If chain drives could be patched out and replaced with a new system that is properly expensive for the benefit, I'd be fine with that. Still waiting to see what the "hyperdrive" mechanic brings to the game...

      I want displays to show everything. I'd really like it if it could do a breakdown of cargo, and through C-V linkage displays can show certain combinations of cargo stores and exclude some if needed. That would make warehouses very nifty.

      If they did make a console edition, don't make the same mistake Minecraft did. Make it so PC and console can play on the same server and are compatible. Don't divide the community.

      This happened to me, and I did right-click on a design to load. I had to restart the server to fix it, though I didn't try leaving the sector (I was the only one online anyway).

      My drones are pretty small. I'm not at my game right now, but I think they were about 5x4x10. The carrier can hold 14 of them. I'm mostly trying to figure out all the mechanics before building something actually useful, though I expect this one carrier to be decent for asteroid mining operations.

      I tried the rail speed controller and that didn't work, but it was a one-length rail. Then I set it up to point the rail in an invalid direction and use logic to momentarily change in the right direction for launch, and that works great. Now my problem is that the drones don't get a docking...

      Well I think I got it working...must have been lag? I logged in a couple days later and my fleet had moved to where I ordered it... Now I'm trying to work on a drone carrier to carry mining drones, but they won't stay docked, even if I manually pilot them to dock them. I have a pickup point...

      I think projectile size should be a function of the number of outputs in the group, while power/strength remains a function of the number of modules. So having a ton of modules butted up will actually result in a larger beam or projectile, instead of a single beam from one block.
