      Actually, I believe this was only the fourth time. But yes, it indeed is strange that the devs haven't replied to that massive thread. Maybe they just want to keep things a surprise?

      No, the effects were just literally copy/pasted from the weapons. And since salvage doesn't do any damage, all the normal nerfs (and in the case of the damage pulse, buffs) don't apply. Same goes for the astrotechnician, power supply/drain beam and shield supply/drain beam.

      I feel that the effect in general should change. And not only for salvage, but for all beams a different effect. The current effect just feels awkward after a while.

      I know, but the API makes thing sooooo much easier. Especially for the recipes. Normally you'd have to know what terrain_(number) was, now you can just select a block with a known name :)

      You mean exponential power usage? That was tried before, didn't end well. It got removed and it now is the linear power usage as we know it. You also obviously haven't tried the current salvage - cannon combination. If you thought massive arrays were bad, wait 'till you see how tiny arrays...

      Calbiri has said that he is aware of the cannon linking problem and is going to change it. And I doubt they will change the scaling of salvage cannons. Bigger arrays would otherwise seriously create lag. Smaller arrays would also be way to weak. The power already stays the same. I do agree...

      I don't want the turret 'revamp'. I just want them to limit the clipping. I really don't like turrets doing 180 degree turns on the vertical axis while I'm in a pirate station anymore.

      Why do you want to hurt those whales :( They are my friends... I'd never hurt them. I'd lock one up inside a giant ship to get free transportation, OK, but I'd never, ever, ever hunt them. :( (Joke :D) Edit: All jokes aside, I'd really love to see this implemented...

      What I know is going to happen: The crafting system gets updated. The universe gets changed. Planets get new terrain. New stations in about a month. What I hope is going to happen: Minor tweaks to storage filters. More build helpers. Shipyards. Faction update.
