I haven't been around for that long. But apparently in very early versions of the game they had bubble shields (I watched lots of really old members tell a lot of new players this). And they were complex shapes.
But to be honest, the current shields really aren't terrible. We just need a way to...
It is most noticeable with beams. Whenever you have a by logic activated computer the weapons will fire focussed on the spot your ship was pointing at when it was first activated. And it is most noticeable with beams because whenever your ship moves the beam, that then still is firing, will try...
No, I said only the personal refinery doesn't get you capsules. The capsule refinery, the block, does turn raw shards/ore into capsules. 1 raw resource in the refinery gets you 10 alloyed metal mesh/crystal circuits and 5 capsules of the respective resource type.
Missiles are extremely good if they do a massive amount of damage. They are really helpful to disable enemies completely.
That said, missile damage is the total amount of damage it does to all the blocks.
Just a question:
Do you think that it is the best of ideas to completely remove clipping for the turret body? Do you even thing thst that will be possible without creating major lag? (Not being mean or anything, I seriously want to know if it would be possible).
Oops! I was so busy thinking about my irrelevant questions that I completely forgot to say that it is really nice to see people from the community approach the devs in a way like this. Not only is it fun to know what their opinions are on certain topics, but it is also generally very informative...
The weapons wouldn't necessarily have to be in the barrel, but they shouldn't be able to be fired while they're not. Let me rephrase that. Weapons won't have to be in the barrel, but they would only fire through that barrel. Because I wanted clipping of the body that is, we don't want turrets...
What is the latest time at which you can submit your questions? Because all the questions I have right now will most likely be irrelevant next month. So being able to submit a question nearer to the the next Q&A would nice.
I said at least. As in if there is no other way to implement the function. It is far from desirable, but it would at least be something (and server configurable of course).
Well then we just should have that suiciding won't allow you to pick your spawn spot, but it will instead send you to your last activated spawn point. If that doesn't work, it will send you to the one activated before that, and so on.
You know, secretely I do like this suggestion. I just ame everyone THINK I'm against it to keep this discussion alive (I'm serious about that, just re-read the thread post, actually like it now.)
Only thing I'd change (if I actually cared about this thread, which I for the sake of keeping this...
@NeonSturm , you should reeally include a 'NeonSturm for dummies' section in which you say everything you just said in code in normal English. Although, to be fair @aceface , that was neither code nor math. He was using words and symbols to show graphically what was happening.
What @Ithirahad was saying in a different context that your astronaut isn't the one rolling, but that it is your ship that's in a strange (for your astronaut) position, @jayman38
But a cap should be implemented for the sake of balance. And make that cap server configurable. Oh yes, the reason for the cap: You don't want this game to just be another game where you put something on and wait a while for it to happen. The cap should prevent people from leaving their stuff...
I had a suggestion once in which I wanted an option for asteroid spawning. Calbiri replied:
