      Guys my thoughts were from dodecahedron.... not from spherical planets.... you can map and unwrap coordinate just like texture's UVW mapping... maybe i'll make a picture to explain my thoughts it could be easier to understand...       Even with instantiate planets you can have space/ground interaction. Simple grid with value of the planet's surface from orbit and from ground and report these value to the other one... something like : Ship laser hit on "A1" from space, so report the effect on "A1" on planet's gound.       Allow rails and rail dockers to slave logic blocks

      Docked entity should be part of the same "entity". I mean, docking a turret, should allow turret to use energy from his base! And it should be the same for every elements docked : if i dock a Jump Drive computer and module, i should be able to Jump the ship... It's mainly for Roleplay purposes...

      you're right... I can't wait for helm's solution... Being able to pilot ships from captain's chair is amazing... Maybe a temporary solution could be a third person view? not like shift + mouse scroll, but like in other 3rd person games ! Could really help to handle this amazing game :)
