      In a file called "blockbehavior" in the config folder, you can reduce the distance to reactors. All the way down to zero, if you'd like. Make a backup of that file before you tweak numbers, however.

      My son and I run around together on a server, and we sat down and hashed out a bunch of stuff to make it less frustrating. One of those were missile speeds. We agreed the nukes should be slower than "explosive" effect, but only a little slower. So we nudged up the speeds in the config file...

      I like the OP's idea, and I would like to add that--if there isn't already--there should be some different color for factions that refuse to trade due to war or some preference stating they only trade with allies. Or even remove non-trading nodes altogether?

      I know it's an old thread, but I recently came across something in the config files that suggests a limit to explosion sizes. Try making multiple, smaller charges in... strategic... locations about the area to be self-destroyed.
