Blocks that aren't visible have almost no strain on the system... It's mainly visible surfaces that cause lag on large entities. This would have almost zero tangible benefits, if any.
ONLY 10-100 million HP, huh?
Absolutely not. Planet cores are absolutely massive (the smallest possible size is still 100 meters across and most are larger than that) and would be extremely difficult to make look good on a ship due to their shape.
This poll has some serious problems. Most of these suggestions are just variants of "thicker armor is harder to penetrate," so that makes the handful of ones that aren't seem much more popular than they really are. I'm going to specifically attack the suggestion here that I REALLY dislike, which...
What is unbalanced about the current jump drives?
So how do jump inhibitors work in this suggested system? The idea of using thrusters for it ruins the balance of JDs vs JDIs, and would make smaller ships the best jump ships, which doesn't make any sense. A better balance would be larger ships...
Starmade is, first and foremost, a PvP game. Attacking someone's structure in a PvP game is not griefing. End of discussion. Can we get back on topic? Thanks.
Because it's meant to be a long range sniper missile? The entire point of the /beam secondary is to increase the range and velocity of a weapon. How you can think that missile/beam is some sort of overpowered problem but not think that missile/missile isn't is beyond me.
Are you fighting ships that are 100m away? Unless a ship is incredibly close, it's very easy to keep your guns on even a fast moving vessel as a large ship.
The only problem I see with this is that there's no notification for when they've left territory, only entered, so it would continue autoscanning until a faction member logged in.
You seriously don't think people would invest a little bit of time in making a docked module that can completely...
Stations and AI need some sort of scanner triggering mechanism. Logic is absolutely not it. Imagine, for one second, a ship with a dozen scanner systems on a long clock so that no ship can stay cloaked or jammed near it for more than a few seconds. Does this sound like a good idea to you...
Boarding, currently, is incredibly easy to shut down. In the future, where such anti-boarding mechanisms would result in murdering your own crew as well, there comes another problem- the plan for how boarding would work in the future is through transporters, and transporting to an enemy ship...
Heatseeking missiles are an inherently flawed weapon in 1v1 combat. Being able to hit your enemy from any location without aiming is overpowered. I would rather have them be replaced with almost anything else or just flatout removed.
You mean besides...
1) Sniper Machineguns (Cannon/Beam)
2)...
This used to be how it was. Any damage to your ship once shields were down would immediately decloak and unjam you. I have no idea why this was removed, but it should really be readded.
So let me get this straight. I reply to YOUR wall of text with my own, and you won't even bother reading it?
Why don't you read my post?
You'd know if you read the post.
My point is that even a wealthy faction probably can't afford what you could make if you instead produced the models and...
