It does drain money from the faction account, but the money is generated and stored inside the beacon sector, so you have to collect it regularly or you will run out of money ;)
theyre a *little* bugged atm, so I wouldnt use them if I were you (you could lose them randomly). I am trying to fix them, but I havent had much time lately due to family :l
yeah, as Admiral.Piett said, docking uses the core as the center of the ship, meaning the docking box must be large enough to have the core at the center of the dock and the entire ship within the docking perimeter
In the dev version pirate spawning mechanics have been improved (they no longer spawn ontop of eachother, reducing lag) so if the daemon was the cause of that, then it should be fixed for the next release

Salvage beams work just the same as all the other weapon system. Try connecting an AMC computer to a salvage computer

You are able to post your log files to the bug site yknow? Also when posted there it can go through a proper process of being confirmed, worked on and eventually fixed.
