I expected the weapon update to be a continuation of the chamber system. When I first read the weapon update post I wasn't necessarily disappointed, just confused.
Does schine really know what they're doing ?
Other than chairs and boarding mechanics, are there anymore plans for "on-board" features for interacting with the interior of the ship ? I honestly can't think of anything that could be added, does schema have ideas ?

Something similar happen to me when I was building a ship docked to a station. Also if you overheat a ship while it's docked it will be come immortal. There's a lot of bugs with the current build.
Edit: Try making a blueprint of the ship and respawning it.
Also, this would lay to rest the debate of turrets having their own reactor.
It's more of a futuristic thing, like startrek's fasers. That's why I said that docked turrets shouldn't be completely removed, for people who are into that sort of thing. Although i'm not sure if traditional turrets...

In my opinion, turrets don’t work in a game like this. They add to the server’s entity count, they fall off or glitch out, they are a pain to attach to the ship one by one, they cause...
I would just like the shield area to be box-shaped instead of round. It would be way easier to understand and you wouldn't get those weird gaps between spheres. If you could get your box-areas to fit together you would have no part of the ship unprotected.

It pretty much fixes dumbbell ships by eliminating the one-dimension requirement.

Yep, this is why I think shine is not working on crew. I remember it took Keen a long time to work on AI for Space Engineers. They started off with player-made waypoints for ships to follow.

I don't know if Shine plans to implement a crew system anymore. They keep saying "we have no plans for crew in the near future". They may have found it too hard to implement and dropped the idea.
But while we all wait for the "near future" to pass, why can't shine implement some placeholder...
Wouldn't this bring down performance ? The game has to check if each weapon round hit a block, then it has to check if that block is within the shield radius. God forbid we us cannon+cannon or waffle board cannons !
So stabilizers seem kinda arbitrary. Instead of stabilizers, we could give the function to all system groups (weapons, shields, ect.) so that they have to be separated from the reactor. Basically like the old "heat box" proposal *I saw nothing wrong with that idea*.

While I was playing starmade, my power cord got disconnected and my computer blacked out. I got the computer back on and started up starmade again. All of the settings in both server.cfg and settings.cfg were reset, and all of my worlds are now corrupted.
