I have yet to see any of the devs make an un-constructive or negative comment regarding player feedback on the in-development build.

Apologies, I meant to imply encountering these situations off player servers e.g the game spawning derelict ships, sometimes in dangerous locations for players to find. Not having to rely on the rare chance that a player would actually leave ships lying about for it to happen.

One memorable moment in Starmade for me was when I found a giant player built ship orbiting near a star.

I've had similar issues in the past. Creating working turrets sometimes just requires re-doing them until they work.
You'll want to make sure they have enough mass enhancers (althougth they arent required for manual movement so that isnt the issue).

So, in essence this is 'structural integrity' , and the larger the armour mass at an area, the better the hp of that armour scales.
This would make larger ships more durable, but hardly affect smaller ships however.

You had them saved as blueprints I hope? You can just copy them from the bp folder. Always a good idea to save your creations after every session, I've learnt that the hard way :/

Have you tried running an older version of starmade with smedit?
I find that often works and fixes any compatibility issues, and you just save as a BP and upload to a newer version.

My main beef with expanding (particualy on pvp servers) is that anything not docked to your homebase can and will be destroyed.
Players can easily abuse the AI and can wait (and see when) you go offline. There will always be a player bigger than you 99% of the time...
