Boarding action is always cool, but you need a way to make interiors worth it too, to prevent players from simply removing all access to their core, once in the ship. Some kind of mechanic that incentivises you to have tunnels to and from your ship's exterior that are traversible by a player/NPC.

That Akula looks incredibly secksy with those shadows and all the lights.

Full on assault structure that packs a hell of a punch while attempting to intimidate your opponents out of fighting you in the first place. Also has 4 medium sized docks, 4 oversized turret banks and a fully functioning ship as its 'head'.

The Roma has everything you would want from a compact all-round cruiser, dozens of weapon systems, a full range of turrets, full interiors, an extended shuttle bay and just plain good allround specs.

The Ajax was built to be more of a medium sized powerhouse with looks to match, it has serious firepower for its size (I dare you to fit more in) and makes for a great pirate or frontal assault ship. Also usable as icecream truck, although not recommended.
