      Juniper Rocket Appliances

Never heard of the "Rule of Cool" have ya? Its really simple, take whatever is "the coolest" (and in the 1980s, the F-14 Tomcat was the COOLEST) and add other cool things to it. Thus, Transforming F-14s IN SPACE, fighting GIANT ALIENS. And yes, astounding work Crashmaster, on getting that...

-le sigh- Or, and ain't this radical, you could not stick a giant flaming monkey-wrench into the basics of aiming in combat? The overall concept of a turret bank is a great one, ... But changing how they aim, on the other claw, is a roight proppa pain in everyone's ass. Well, nearly everyone...

Need assistance Getting a multi-cannon Bi-Axis Turret to work properly

Huh, I'd been using basic-rail docked turrets for a while now, was wondering why they'd been having so much trouble. (they do seem to work better on "selected target" than they do on anything else, probably because the thing I want them shooting is directly in front of them. and so they don't...

*shrugs* It may have just dropped off the first page of suggestions before anyone really read it. That happens sometimes, especially if there is some "hot button" issue that keeps being suggested (in several different ways) around the same time. Note: I'm guilty of doing exactly that, regarding...

Read by Council Make the Display Module symbol limit configurable?

And those same computers tend to have 2, repeat, TWO distinct problems attached to them. A: if it is Windows, the operating system itself is straight up eating anywhere from 1.5 to 3 Gigs of ram just to run itself + all the crap it comes pre-loaded with. (and removing the pre-loaded bloatware...

Please be advised, some of the behavior you describe is currently possible, it's just a bug. (and, as such, is not entirely un-possible, just unlikely) using admin powers, TAB+F8 teleport into each of the desired turrets, without first leaving the turrets. then, they'll all track (aim where...

Read by Council Below Hull Turret Parts

If I recall correctly, that would be a cross-entity thing, and the most common wording about those is "no". I'd truly love to see this, as it's basically the only way to "properly" do replica builds, but it just ain't likely. ** Further info: it comes down to the dev team would have to re-code...

Greyscale Heavy Industries (Ships and stations)

Okiday gentlemen, a small slew of "new-ish" stuff, along with some genuinely new stuff. As is obvious with most of what I upload, it isn't truly "finished" yet, but it's getting there. Afterall, I've yet to do any logic for the cargo-system other than the lift. Oh, and an Absurdly basic...

      The 17th Tactical Fleet Shipyard

Well well, a fellow Federation builder. Hidy Ho, Dragon2000 Hmm, From my own efforts, I'll actually say "forget the aztec-ing", instead do panelling wherever you can. Make it look like large-ish sections of the hull are removeable panels, since azetec-ing is a colossal pain in 1-meter blocks...

Dannage Fleetyards: Poor Advice For Noobs

I like how each of the bridge-towers is a little different from each other, yet clearly were running for the same theme. Helps make it look like several different shipyards were used to build the fleet. (or, that some of these are "older models" of the same style)

      Malcorian Imperial Hunter

I'm getting a strong "Battlefleet Gothic" feel from that screenshot, and I love it. Haven't seen many ships with that feel that weren't ginormous.

Lighting State Changes and Draw Distance

Can't say whether that's a bug or not, but I can say that it operates from your Camera position, so moving around in Build mode can cause it just the same as if you were actually floating around it. Oh, and Logic-clocks (the simple kind) often go screwy in a similar manner, but those actually...

      Read by Council Holotanks/hologram blocks

I'm all for this. Aye, it would be fairly intense on the graphics card. On the other claw, so are planets. On yet another claw, get "enough" forcefields together and the graphics load gets fairly intense. Most of these "graphics" loads are a result of either lack of sufficient optimization...

      Star Trek Ships W.I.P.

Yay, Star Trek builds that aren't dead. (and that are posted on a forum, so I don't have to be in the game to see them.)

Planned Expansion on Fleet mechanics for single ships: autopilot, station auto-docking

MacThule, did you miss the part where that restrictive block is intended to be used for an Internal docking bay? As in, the ultimate destination of said dock is size-restricted by the presence of walls and a roof? As in, to keep a titan from trying to wedge it's ginourmous arse into the...

Read by Schine Change Mouse Wheel Binding

I find myself agreeing with all of that, and I actually have a mousewheel. There have been a few times when I really wanted the mousewheel to be doing some other job, but because the mousewheel is not recognized by StarMade as a valid mappable button, I couldn't make it do those other jobs...

      Pickup rails, additional uses

Soo, proper Star Trek/Star Wars style Tubolifts are now possible? (and, by direct extension, Wonkavators?) Yaaaaaaaaaay. Now off to try and re-fit my ship to use this. (and just the logic-array to drive the little beast should fill in a lot of the space I was struggling to try and fill)

Read by Council Shipyard Design > Info = Same as Blueprints > Info ie: Block Requirements

Indeed it would. At the moment, the "best" way to side-step that issue is to keep a blueprint of the ship you're going to be making in the shipyard. Not needing to side-step (or otherwise "work-around") is usually better.

Read by Council A simple suggestion about Targeting

Odd, how exactly is that last line hostile? I really did about kill myself from laughing so hard. Mostly because I wasn't expecting that particular response (from anyone) as I'd simply not thought anyone would make such a comparison. My normal response to that kind of harmless surprise is a...

Read by Council Remove the 10% increase in energy usage for multiple Outputs

That sounds EXACTLY like the Plasma F weapon from Starfleet Battles. It is/was explicitly designed to fool sensors into believing it is the regular Plasma R (R for Romulan) or Plasma G (for Gorn) weapon, but does basically no usefull damage and takes nearly no energy to fire it off. By...
