A good guideline for sounds, Thanks Valiant70.
We should hear our engine noises but it should not sound as if I was standing beside them on a runway. The sounds should be akin to a low rumble, the effect of vibrations travelling along the metal hull. Same goes for our own weapon fire.

One disadvantage to using warhead torpedoes is that they are the only the weapon that is volatile. They may be detonated before they are launched so there is an element of Risk/Reward that I like. There is agreement that balance is crucial. I agree the warheads need a buff but I don't know how...
As I recall when the Vipers launched from the original Battle-star Galactica the pilots were slammed back in their seats for what looked like a few Gs of acceleration. They left the mother-ship at close to cruising-speed. Heck Yeah, I wanna launch my Fighter from a Tardy-Cannon! :p
I am not 100 % sure but this seems to be the likely culprit. Carrier recall is a fleet-order. It must be given by the Flagship since the Flagship is the only one in the fleet that can be designated Carrier. Yet the flagship is not the target of the Drone-docking. You have the Drones docking to...
On joining a MP server & following it's rules.
-I would never inflict my Noobness on MP players unless I made some effort to learn the basics in SP and researched it a bit. I feel that for SM it is inappropriate to dive right in and expect the community to babysit and hand-hold because I was...
I have a SOP that helps improve drone-docking. Fleet order into 'Idle Formation' first then recall to carrier.
Occasionally I have found that a drone missed the pick-up point and just spins in place. Re-issuing the recall order usually works. * I would love it if the Devs made the drones try...
Did I say build several designs?...no I did not. I was reminding you that it was possible to design an improved version of the USD that would ALSO work with existing builds.
therimmer96 sounds like they get the idea. I will wait to see what solution there is for this challenge.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to add a new rail-docker with the orientation you are looking for? This would facilitate the auto-docking you are after without rendering the existing dock obsolete. Its like USB-3; you can add things but the old hardware must be grandfathered in.
Also, you will...
Color format: fine the way it is.
Text-wrap: I don't have an opinion.
Merged display-edges: cool idea. Currently a wall of displays just looks awkward. Merging into into a 'Big-Screen' would really help make bridge systems look impressive (even if they remained discrete entities).
Still...
Missions with time-limits. Worst idea ever used by lazy developers to simulate meaning or excitement. My real life has deadlines and time limits and demanding clients/bosses. Why the h*ll would I want this stress to spill over into my recreation-time...when I am trying to relax and have fun!?
It's a good, simple suggestion. I don't know what all the fuss is about. This has been suggested on a couple of threads and it is a time-saver. The mechanics to do this are almost in place already (Add all button) so it would require minimal extra work to implement. Saving tedium is saving...
You are correct, but sometimes technically-correct is not the most important thing. It is certainly relevant and it affects Real-Life so I would argue that the subject warrants attention.
Camera-display linking yes but not cctv that displays images as these would be resource intensive. Several threads on displays have made these and similar requests. Also some ideas are being looked at by devs (pretty sure).
I think every game forum needs a thread like this.
Please post your experiences with pain or injury from playing games or using computers in general.
I would like to focus on three things:
1) Diagnosis. Listing symptoms to help people determine if they are at risk.
2) Prevention. Suggest...
