I think what he meant to say is that when factions become more flushed out having only one "invincible station" won't be enough stations period aka you won't be able to just live out of the 1 station you can make that is invincible, hence all your other stations will need buffs period they need...

definitely if turrets could be set to target any neutral or enemy warheads then that would prevent griefing with just plain jane warheads and honestly if someone uses standard armor blocks on their torpedo just to troll my base it cost me just as much as it cost them so i won't complain
Exactly this no one is saying that you just can't use the regular logic anymore if you want to keep doing that so be it but for the rest of us that like to include logic in lots of things it would be nice if we could just have a block that lets us condense it down.

I didn't actually disagree with the fact that it would indeed provide the basic function of stopping the griefing itself.
this is another thing i thought about and this would stop you from getting torpedoed but it wouldn't allow you to retaliate ala if someone fires torpedoes at you and you take no damage, then they wouldn't be added to your personal enemy list and your main turrets wouldn't blow them sky high...
Right now there is no way to automatically add a neutral to the personal enemies list I'm not sure how feasible it is but yes If there was a way to maintain a tag on a launched ship until it was entered by another player and that that tag would share a tag with the ship it was launched from and...
I think i read somewhere that this was actually something they were going to add to shipyards already it just wasn't in yet.

I agree with you but lets say you have a "merchant" faction even in a pvp environment you still need people to build supplies for you and trade with don't you... or are you just at war constantly with 30 other...
Homebases in and of themselves are kinda a broken concept being permanently invincible all the time is well idk i understand why its in here so you have a place to keep ur stuff safe but homebase protection isn't a reason to leave stations as they are..... besides the 1 station per faction that...
I agree with most of this Stations are immobile and need something combat orientated to offset that immobility. With the way the game works Size is not an actual benefit to a station since weapon ranges don't increase with size stations only become more vulnerable the larger they are.

not because they bypass shields.
not because they can be used from a cloaked ship
not because sticking 50 of them floating in space 12 meters in front of your ship and then cloaking takes neither skill no creativity...
