I can get capsules and base materials at the same time? Is it my birthday or something? The system was good before and I still like it. Also kudos on the World Editor. Now if I want to try something crazy (but of course we don't do crazy stuff do we?) I can create a parallel universe so I...
Maybe have the player able to walk up 1 block, but only for planetary terrain. Thus preventing people from accidentally walking on railings and such. It could be a state similar to the one they used to tell blocks that they're on a damaged station. It would be a state that tells a block that...
I think they need a /stuck command or something to get us by until they hammer all of this stuff out. You could also use it when you're stuck inside a planet (I've never been able to get that "press up" thing to work).
I've only been playing StarMade for a few days so I have no experience with the previous iterations of the crafting system. Since I have no basis of comparison I'm judging this one based on its own merits. I thought it was pretty good considering the large amount of craftable stuff this game...
I'm not making statements I'm only asking questions. However if there are any people out there who ARE affiliated with the dev team reading this I'm going to ask you to chime in here because I need to know - and I'm guessing by the amount of planet-related suggestions that get posted in here...
It does not have to be that complicated. Just change the player movement so that we can walk up 1 block. You don't have to change anything about the planets if you do that. It's that simple.
While using wedged terrain pieces (do those even exist right now?) sounds great it would probably be pretty complicated to implement that. They would have to add some code to the terrain generation that figures out which way the wedge should be facing. Right now with blocks that's not an issue...
When I'm trying to walk around on a planet I really don't do a whole lot of walking. It's more jumping than anything else really. I think that if you could just step up the height of a single block it would eliminate most of that jumping and make walking seem much more organic. I can't help...
I had assumed that this adding of stations to the game is going to be part of the universe redesign, but since we know absolutely nothing about that it would be hard for anyone to say what's going on I think. I'm sure they have a good reason for doing it like they are though. In a perfect...
@Panda: I'm just guessing here, but the floating islands are probably not intentional. Most of the games that I've seen with random terrain generation have them as a result of tunneling algorithms (trying to randomly generate a landscape that makes any kind of sense is very complicated). If...
My ship is so thin that if you stare at it really hard you'll probably pierce the hull. If I had a chief engineer (I hired a crew, but they all flew out into space) I would yell at him for MORE SHIELDS!!!
Hello all. I'm DaveC9000.
The first video game I ever played was a Space Invaders-like game that I watched my mother write line-by-line on our Commodore Vic-20 (google it). Later on I helped Leisure Suit Larry look for Passionate Patty (might have to Google that one too) and when I hear about...
