What's on the dev build is largely incomplete (the universe is mostly empty), but it is pretty cool. A dev build in its truest form. I do think this layout will be pretty good once they roll it out. I made it a point to see what happens if you go off the edge of the galaxy and it turns out...
I've been jotting coordinates down on one of those logbooks that I found on a planet. Not the ideal solution though since you can't craft (last time I checked) or find these (or anything else) on planets anymore, but it's the best i could come up with.
No not really. Similar in the sense that they are both threads full of screenshots, but this thread is about something more specific. As evidence I submit the fact that after the universe redesign it will be impossible to create new material for this thread whereas AAlex's thread could...
With the universe redesign just around the corner we will all soon be entering a new era of StarMade experiences. Before you know it the universe that we all inhabit now will be a distant memory. But before all of that let us look back on all the things that defined our old universe because...
I get the impression that the scanners are only for finding people that are somewhere else in the system (as in in a different sector in the same system). If you're using your weapons or shields then I'm guessing you're close enough that you no longer need to use your scanner.
I think that means that if they added ONE little space creature and it sparked off a whole handful of conversations then the huge pile of stuff that they're about to add is going to make the forums explode.
My problem with adding more plates is that when I'm in orbit I think it would look better if they were round, but as soon as I land I stop thinking about that and start wishing the plate was bigger. I think those two desires conflict with each other in this case. I'm probably not going to...
I think if you did that then people would just link 900 of them and jump across the universe. The short range would have to be a permanent trade-off for its portability and ease of setup.
Okay this is just a brainstorm but I'll throw it out there anyway. Let's just say it works like this:
In order for your jump computer to perform a jump it first has to safely plot a course (that puts you in space as opposed to inside an asteroid or something). Since the sensors can only see...
Yeah I caught that negativity aimed at Schema, but then I SAT DOWN and thought about it and decided to just ignore it. I think it's cool (the chairs, not the negativity) since I have tons of wedges which I have officially designated as chairs inside my ship. It's not my blinking Miller Beer...
Go watch Star Trek 2. As soon as those shields are down the Enterprise and the Reliant are both Kobiashi Maru. I think this system just appears to be out of balance because so much of the other components of StarMade are currently out of balance. Right now you're probably getting shot at by a...
I've seen nothing that would imply that we even have the ability to effect their update schedule. I've also heard no official word (speculation by players is fine, but it's not official) on what the universe redesign actually IS. In fact, the only thing I've ever heard them say about it is...
Okay so you ban doom cubes - alright. Well now pyramids or some other ship design is the most efficient and those same people will just blow you up with those instead. There's always going to be a best ship design. Where does this line of thought end? That's like the rest of the world...
That's pretty cool I was wondering what all that custom texture stuff was about. I made a lounge in one of my ships and I really wished I had some cool aesthetic blocks to make the place look cool. I really need a neon beer sign block and my ship can't leave spacedock without it :) I'll have...
