There is already a search function for it. Just type something in the dropdown filter and it will filter the dropdown menu for those blocks.
Same for the "pick remove filter".
Might not be the best place to ask but what happens if a ship has more types of blocks in it than you can hold. Would buy with blocks work then? Does it also check chests that are on your ship? I would check it myself but my singleplayer seems to be broken.
Doesn't this mean a lot more casting between ints/doubles/floats and now longs? Sounds like a lot more could go wrong while changing a few numbers in a config file is easily reversed or changeable.

Did both of you try a complete fresh install? (take a backup first) delete the starmade folder and let the launcher redownload it completely, don't change any settings till you are sure it works.
Put that bug in queue and on a higher priority (game breaking for servers, all newly found planets will be broken), the planet segments are 112 long and wide, 7 chunks in each direction so it seems something went wrong badly.

Not 100% sure but it's possible you have "Use Array Textures" enabled. Please disable this option in the advanced settings menu. If this doesn't work try disabling normal/bump mapping too.

For me 0.14 was probably the worst. I had a cpu bottleneck that kept my i5 3570K running at 90% all the time. Every time I put a system block down it jumped up to 100% and it would run at 1 fps for several seconds. Got fixed somewhere in 0.15+ and now it runs very good.

After some testing my pc starts freezing once I kill around 40-50 blocks or more in 1 volley.
Using effects like punch through makes it worse. Debris still needs to be optimized for larger numbers, the amount of debris isn't the problem, it's the amount of collisions it gets on creation.

2 vs 2 might be doable but 4 vs 4 will have plenty of lag/collisions and other weird physics stuff. I believe something like this has been done on the test server already and in larger numbers there was a very noticeable server lag.
I think it will only be for functional blocks and weapon effects like der_scheme mentioned. I'm sure you could use it to your advantage to add some decoration to your ship, putting thrusters down so their sparks come out of a "vent". Exposing power blocks in a reactor to get those nice spark...

Well my station is complete. Got a problem where turrets don't spawn in game, am I doing something wrong? the Local blueprint has 8 attached folders (the turrets) but the exported folder doesn't seem to contain them or else it would spawn with 8 turrets.
