      Something to bring back

These glows are, officially, to be replaced with normal (Edit: Emissive) maps. This will allow blocks to glow visibly whithout actually lighting the area, to let players set the lighting themselves.

      Frequent Suggestions Megathread

Should we really mark fuel overall as rejected? The two examples are just a subset of many, many kinds of fuel suggestions, they're hardly representative of the overall concept.

Implemented Speed relative to target & Projectiles velocity inheritance

Does this setting include sideways velocity too? I remember being severely annoyed by how it wasn't, but that was quite some time ago.

      Read by Council Diagonal Rails

If you're actively refusing to learn how to play the game, I think there's more pressing concerns than accommodating your particular wants for ready-made solutions.

      Read by Council Diagonal Rails

The game is not supposed to do things for you. It's supposed to offer the fundamental tools for you to do whatever you want, not implement a ready-made solution for every conceivable thing a player might want to do.

StarMade v0.19556 - New Gear Graphics and Bugfixes

If, with NPCs, we'll finally get lua scripting, it may very well be one of the greatest updates in the game's history. As for fleets, I'm glad abstraction is being though of. If it's done right it could eliminate a significant portion of the drawbacks with a partially-loaded universe like starmade.

      Read by Council Diagonal Rails

This is already possible in several ways. Firstly, you could just use an in-between rail, rotated to 45 degrees. If you want to alternate between straight and diagonal rail, make the diagonal rail a 90 degree zig-zag and add two layers of motion compensators for smooth movement.

Read by Council An extension to a certain post about lights.

This is a bit too close to the game's inner workings for me to comment on with any authority, but I do believe it's entirely feasible to "freeze" logic. Remember, the on/off state of a block, which is the only property a component has at any given time, is a rotational data bit. It's every bit...

      Recognized No Power/No Lights

For the record, logic has nothing to do with this. These aren't physical machines, they're bits of data represented on a screen. The game reads the on bit to be true, and and sets a particular texture and light level. Any number of other criteria, such as the ship having power and not undergoing...

      Alpha Test Fuel

One assumption I see a lot is that fuel is something we'd mine, and thus grind, for. This certainly neither needs to nor should be the case. Fuel should, ideally, be produced continuously by infrastructure. You don't go mining asteroids for fuel, you set up a mining outpost, leave it running...

      Rhombicuboctahedron Planets?

Firstly, I'm not too sold on all the extra, smaller faces that come with Archimedean solids. You'll never have a proper reason to build on them, which seems to me like a waste of planet size. Secondly, I would argue more sides is a bad thing overall. We all want larger planets, but it's not...

      Recognized Build Mode Flashlight

Seeing as BearishMushroom's shaders largely resolve the issue, I think a whole new feature might be overkill.

Do we even need a Starmade Reddit?

With the recent fallout on the subreddit (not reddit, thank you very much), I can't help but think it would all have ended up here if the sub hadn't been there as an impact absorber. Still, a subreddit has a different purpose from a forum, in a way. They're quick and easy, encourage rapid...

What Docking Port Do You Use?

A minor correction- the current USD would be USD-2. The USD-1, although short-lived, was very much a thing. As I recall, it more resembled CaptainRedfox' second proposition, except with only one, opposing set of docker/rail. It had the slight advantage that the rail/docker couldn't be switched...

      Crew Lua Scripting

For the record, I'd like to point out how underestimated the potential of in-game programming is. If done right, it could allow so many aspects of the game to be player made- Want better fleet battles? Go ahead and install that fleet control program on your ships' computers. Parking lots...

      Stopping Advanced Build Mode spying

You seem to be arguing, but I can't quite see where you disagree with me. Care to clarify?

Read by Council Integrety module: Stops salvaging even when normally would be allowed

Also- if a shield is blocking a salvage beam, instead of a "cannot be hit by this beam" error message, the regular shield animation should play, for visual fanciness.

      Stopping Advanced Build Mode spying

Alright, that somehow escalated from "Don't let the camera enter other entities" to "remove build mode". In the long term, I'm all for making build mode purely a design tool, and require additional in-game equipment to modify physical ships accordingly. As the moment, though, let's settle for...

Why power reactor module formula is not something like the power capacitor formula ?

True, material constraints can come before dimensional ones. Thanks.

Why power reactor module formula is not something like the power capacitor formula ?

Though, when ever are you not constrained? For a single line to hit the softcap it needs to be close to two kilometers long. If your ship is any smaller than that, then crosses are, indeed, more efficient.
