      Slabs

I wonder, will they ever make slabs have their own build hitboxes. For example, the ability to place 4 quarter slabs ontop of each other and only take up a single block's space. If they ever allowed for that it'd open up a lot of room for more detailed things like doors and the like.

      Slabs

Wedge, tetra, and penta slabs would allow for such smooth curves, here's hoping all three and not just wedges get mini versions.

Or just use the thinnest slab with one being white for the pillow. Works equally as well, especially for bunk beds. Just gotta make sure you have something to attach them to like thin slabs at the front and back or a wall or something.

      Super Tight Crew Quarters?

a 3x3x4 room could house 4 crewmen using the standard 3 block beds. Now of course, I have no idea how quarters will work and what determines places for the crew to sleep. For all we know it's entirely arbitrary and doesn't actually require anything. Or they might make it so it's 1 crewman to a...

A restaurant. It has to happen.

Only thing I could think of when watching that video was that one, random sun that appeared to be in the void beyond the "great barrier". He looked right at it and I'm curious what would happen if you flew to it.

      YES! YES!

I like the option idea mentioned, as I'm always a fan of options. But even without an option I don't think this would be a big deal. I mean take real life for example, if you look at an object that's far away it really will appear as just a big blob of something. If you've ever looked at a cargo...

      Round Planets

With space engineers releasing planets it really does make you wish for large, round planets. I never do anything on planets currently so it's hardly a game changer, but it'd be wonderful to see big round planets at some point in starmade's future. It's always a bit of a shame when your ship is...

Read by Schine Mobile Shipyards (shipyards on ships)

Personally I don't see why we need to balance stations vs ships to begin with. I mean what's a space station, logically? A ship that doesn't really move much. Why does it matter if you want a big shipyard in orbit of your planet or a shipyard inside a titan that flies around? Who cares? Either...

But my point stands, there's no reason in using a smaller boat if your big carrier can do the same exact thing, along with a million other things your small boat can't. It isn't just that big ships do things better, it's that they do MORE things as well. Again, destroyers never replaced...

Well, as I said there shouldn't be any sort of hard cap saying "you're alone? too bad go away". It's more a case of the average player wont be able to invest the time needed to keep a titan maintained and useable. Yeah they'll be able to accumulate resources over a period of time for a road...

Fuel isn't suppose to be 'no hassle' though. It's suppose to be the exact opposite, it's suppose to be a hassle. It should be a fairly rare spawn scattered throughout the galaxy (think oil in real life) and factions should worry about making sure they control regions where they can acquire fuel...

I actually disagree with this one. I think it should be pretty much impossible for a single player to field a titan. Build one? Sure, of course. But to actually use it on a server? Well.. depends on the server but say a survival server, it should be pretty impossible for a lone player to keep a...

It also gives alternatives when fighting a war. You don't need to fight their titan, you just need to hit their fuel production. If they can't produce fuel to keep their big doom ships running then you win the war.

      Inspiration!

The coolest thing you can get in big space stations in things that make you forget you're in a space station at all. You need to just fill the interior with a big city, color the top part blue or even make it a ring with area based gravity to keep you on the right track. Regardless you need...

I think you're mixing roles again. I can't think of a single small 'spy ship' used in naval warfare. Probably because such small vessels don't operate well out at sea and because they're entirely unnecessary. If your little spy boat can see a ship 100 miles away, you can bet your destroyer or...

Your first mistake is assuming anyone posting anything in this thread is remotely useful. This exact same stuff was being discussed over a year ago and this thread has offered literally nothing new. If you want to be "useful" you'd do something other than post here. And I defend the analogy...

      Gigantism

People often make this mistake, but comparison does not require both things are exactly the same down to the smallest detail. The style of combat used in starmade is comparable to WW2 naval combat. Is it the EXACT SAME in every possible little detail? Of course not, and that isn't the point of...

That's different, modern combat operates on drastically different principles over scifi or ww2 combat. In both ww2 and scifi the principle was "your ship will get hit, so make it strong enough to take the hit". So ships in WW2 were heavily armored and they didn't have weapons that could...
